I was in india the other day, and i was met with an amazing little surprise which was this phone. My cousin's mom and dad bought it (but usually my cousins just use it ;)) because they thought they would need a smartphone, but then my cousins took it over, and its really cool. It has a much sleeker look than the iPhone (even if its a little bigger) and the operating system is really good, i truly like the background were it is water and if you touch the water it ripples, i just LOVE that, don't you? :) well yeah, if i were at the end of the world and i was to pick between the iPhone (I've had both iPhone and this phone) and the thunderbolt to save my life, i would hands down go for my cousin's thunderbolt because its really cool. I being a kid, have to talk about games don't I ;), well I have a game named Angry Birds on both the iPhone i have and the thunderbolt my cousins have, and i just HAVE to admit that every feature of the app on IPHONE is one step better on THUNDERBOLT

SO ROCK ON THUNDERBOLT!!

Hello readers. I am a current owner of an HTC Thunderbolt and have been since March. I love the device because of the way it looks and as the name might imply, its speed. However there are a few downfalls that have made me angry over the time (multiple stressful times..).

The device overall without any problems would be AMAZING. It is fast, I love the apps, and it is just overall a very nice looking phone. The 4G is FAST. I did a speed test and it was clocking sometimes 20 times faster than my 3G droid counterparts. The apps on it run smoothly too for the most part. The screen also is very nice, it is a bit bigger than other phones but I actually like it because I can customize it really well with different skins, widgets, etc. and keep it very personal to me.

However, nothing is perfect. What it makes up in speed and quality, it lacks in the battery power and errors.
First, I will start with the errors which thankfully are getting fixed! So it is not all that bad. When I first got my phone, my texting would CONSTANTLY close or go really slow or give me a black screen. It was SO annoying and I think it was because I had a lot of texts. I literally would want to throw my phone and it gives my rage even to this day. I downloaded an app that helped a LOT though and since then there may have been updates or something because it doesn't do it anymore! It literally makes me happy that it goes so fast now and doesn't cause problems like it used to. There were other small errors too but nothing too much. I did just have to replace my phone though because for some reason it was just stuck on 1X and I never got 3G or 4G even when trying multiple sim cards.
Another issue that got fixed however was the GPS (not really an issue). Before it used to take a long time to find the GPS signal when loading Maps but now it goes REALLY fast. So I am really happy about that.
Second, the top button to turn on the screen stopped working and got stuck once so I had to replace my phone (first replacement, second replacement was the 1X issue). After that though, the phone was great.
Third and final and the worst... is obviously the battery. The battery drains so quick and many have this issue. I sometimes have to charge it during the day and had to turn off a bunch of things so that it would stay on longer. Very inconvenient. Fixing this issue would be so nice. I wish they would actually fix this phone rather than make a Tunderbolt 2 addressing the issue... Sometimes I feel like they just want money.

Anyway I give this phone a 3/5 because it is pretty nice despite some of the issues. I will be sticking with it for a while at least.
Pros:  The pros are customization and quality.
Cons:  The cons are the battery, some of the issues I had, and a bit pricey originally (but all phones are I guess now).
