This claims to be one of Herbal Essences best hair care products for dry, damaged hair... but it does nothing that it claims to. It is a fairly average price and good if you just need a cheap shampoo. If you’re looking for real moisture, try another product.
Let’s start with the smell: Like all Herbal Essences products, this one has a characteristic floral smell. The smell lasts the whole day, but can be insanely overpowering if you use even just a drop more shampoo than you need.
As for the way it treats the scalp, it does a nice job. My scalp did not feel too dry or too oily. It had a good balance to it. If you have a normal scalp, this product is good for you. I would not suggest this to anyone who has oily or dry scalps, as it would only exacerbate the problem you have.
It foams into nice thick bubbles. Despite the thickness, it does not stay on the scalp as well as I would have hoped it would. It is a rather runny shampoo. However, if you do not have a normal scalp this will not be an issue. The shampoo does its job of maintaining a healthy scalp even if it doesn’t keep contact for very long.
After using it – with the matching conditioner – I found my hair had the strangest texture to it. It was both slimy... yet dry and crunchy. It had not ‘moisturized’ my hair, but had instead ‘coated it’ with chemicals. Underneath the slime, my hair crunched. My hair was drier and oilier than ever before.
This is not a good product if you have dry hair, or if you have oily hair (since it coats with chemicals). This is probably only good if you have normal hair.

I heard a lot of people talking about Herbal Essences and one day i found them for the price of $5 for a big bottle so i decided to buy it. i used it for the first time and it felt really dry. my hair felt weird.. it doesn't feel smooth at all. i was really disappointed since i love the smell so much. it smells so delicious but it doesn't match up to the scent. it's sad but it's okay. at least i got it at a good price. after finishing up the bottle, my hair still felt the same as before and i never bother buying this shampoo anymore. save your money and buy another shampoo. i recommend suave products. they work wonderful

I love Herbal Essences products really much and this one is no exception. I rate it only as 4 because it's good.. but there's nothing extraordinary about it. One thing for sure though is the scent of the shampoo is fantastic. Yum... everytime I smell it, I just want to taste it. That's how good it smells. I think my hair smells wonderful after using it. The bad thing about this though is what the other user said. Everytime I put this on and washes my hair afterwards, it feels really dry and icky. I don't know how to explain it but it doesn't feel smooth. And I have to use the conditioner afterwards which makes me upset because I'm a really lazy person. It's also a little more expensive than other good shampoo which is another bad thing for me. Overall, I don't really like this shampoo but I do love the scent of it. To be honest, I love all the scent of Herbal Esscences products! The only good thing is the conditioner though which i'll give later.

I needed a travel sized shampoo for after I go to the gym, so I decided on Herbal Essences Hello Hydration.
One of the reasons why I picked specifically this shampoo was because of the name. My hair is pretty dry and damaged due to my straightener. I needed a shampoo that will moisturize my hair, and apparently this shampoo is supposed to do the job. First of all, this shampoo smells great. It's a vanilla scent with a little tang of fruitiness. When I applied the shampoo to my hair, I found it kind of hard to lather it up, but it was very easy to wash out and my hair felt a lot cleaner afterwards, but it left my hair feeling a lot drier, if that was even possible. I feel like it was a bit too harsh on my hair, so when I got home I had to throw it out immediately because my hair was already way too dry before that.
I don't think that this shampoo was worth my money. It is a good shampoo, but it did not work for my hair type. I think that this shampoo would work better for people who already have oily hair. I will not be purchasing this again.
