A good concealer, just nothing exceptional (Report Review)

I have dark undereye circles, so I\'m constantly testing new undereye concealers. This Estee Lauder concealer was only so-so to me; it might be better for someone who only needed light coverage.
This is a liquid concealer, which means that you have to apply it with the sponge applicator (like a lip gloss) and blend it in. Admittedly, I\'ve never had much luck with this type of undereye concealer; it\'s just too sheer for me. I\'m better off using a full coverage stick or pan concealer.
However, if you can get away with a liquid concealer, then this is a very nice formula. It\' somehow manages to be long-wearing without being cakey. Also, despite the long-wearing factor and the inclusion of sunscreen in the formula, it wasn\'t irritating to my eyes or the undereye skin. I\'ve tried concealers in the past that stung my eyes and actually made them water, and I had to wash my makeup off and start over!
I am somewhat disappointed in the SPF factor, though. SPF 10? Many department store varieties, and even many drugstore brands, offer SPF 15 or 20 (and even occasionally a higher level). SPF 10 just seems like a halfway solution. Why put sunscreen in it when you\'re not going to put enough in to really make a difference?
If one of your concerns in buying concealer is the inclusion of SPF, then I suggest you buy a separate daytime eye cream with a higher level of SPF and apply it before applying your concealer.
My other gripe is the price. Like I said earlier, if liquid concealer works for you, then this is a good choice. But it\'s still pretty expensive, and I\'ve tried cheaper varieties before that seemed to offer a similar value for a much better price.
If you like Estee Lauder than it\'s worth trying, but it\'s not enough of a standout to win any awards.
