Nicely rounded and great shade range (Report Review)

So here's a shocking concept: gals who don't fit into the "buff beige" to "warm nude" range of skin tones actually want to buy makeup, too. Wow! Yet most drugstore makeup companies offer a very limited range of shades in their foundation, concealer, and powder lines. Revlon is one of te few that gets it right by offering darker options, like this Mahogany foundation.

The entire Colorstay line is really very nice to use. There are long-wearing eye and lip products as well as these foundations, and there are concealers and powders to go with the foundations, if you need even more coverage.

However, the Colorstay foundation seems to offer pretty decent coverage all on its own. As the name implies, it's long-wearing, so if you have trouble with foundation melting away midday, give this one a shot.

Another great thing about the Colorstay liquid foundations is that you can actually choose from two different formulas: one for combo/oily skin and one for dry/normal skin. This is actually a feature I've noticed in at least one other Revlon foundation line, and it's a wonderful touch.

But, the biggest draw of this foundation is, the color range! From very fair ivory tones to dark tones like this mahogany. Also, these darker shades don't look ashy, they actually have nice warm undertones, so you can apply them without looking muddy.

Last but not least, the Colorstay foundations have SPF 15--so if you don't always apply sunscreen under your foundation, this offers a little bit of protection. It's not a lot, but it's nice to see makeup companies realizing that women want and need SPF and don't necessarily want to add an extra step into their routine by applying a separate SPF lotion.

Overall, a great deal for the money, especially if you have shading issues with other drugstore brands.
Pros:  --Great shade range
--Different formulas for dry or oily skin
Cons:  --None
