Revlon Curling Iron (Report Review)

I have not really had the best luck with Revlon Curling Irons. I find that they never heat up quickly enough. But the main problem is that they never hat up enough. In other words, if you compare the Revlon Curling Iron with a Chi Flat Iron, you can immediately tell the extreme difference in quality. Well, I guess that is to be expected considering the major price difference, but, still, I feel like the Revlon Curling Iron is one the lowest quality curling irons that I have ever encountered. Overall, I would recommend that you stay away from Revlon Curling Irons. I almost started to think that it might be my hair type but that does not make sense since my hair curls quite easily with other brands of curling irons. I guess you really do get what you pay for. The Revlon Curling Iron certainly are cheap, but they are also cheap in quality. I would suggest shelling out a bit more money for a more high quality curling iron. Look in drugstore and do your research online first. Cannot stress that enough.
Nice basic iron for a very cheap price (Report Review)

There are probably literally dozens of hot styling tools on the shelves at your local retailer, among them many different brands of curling irons. There are irons with clamps and irons without clamps. There are irons made from different types of metals, irons that claim to reduce frizz, irons to create "spirals", "ringlets", "curls", "loose curls", and every other variation on the word "curl" that could possibly come to mind!

Somewhere in there you'll find a basic Revlon curling iron. Revlon is a huge beauty brand and at my local retail stores I can find several different types of Revlon curling irons, but this is the most basic one.

There isn't a whole lot to say about the design or the packaging, except that it isn't very fancy. It's a curling iron. It has a power switch. It gets hot. No, there are no frizz-fighting magic metals to be found, and the barrel is a basic design (one inch). You can't choose from tons of heat settings. The package doesn't promise to give you the most glorious curls you'll ever see.

But it is a nice, basic, dependable curling iron that will give you nice curls or waves each time you use it. It doesn't seem "cheap", despite being very inexpensive. It has a decent length of cord, though unlike my last model, the cord doesn't "swivel" to avoid tangles, which can cause problems if you're not paying attention to what you're doing!

Overall, if you just want a good old-fashioned curling iron, without any bells and whistles (or the accompanying price tag), then this curling iron would be the perfect pick for you. Revlon also makes basic irons in a smaller size, a half-inch barrel, so if you prefer a really small barrel then you could try that iron.
