Nice, but odd flavor choices (Report Review)

To my knowledge, these Cover Girl Wet Slicks Fruit Spritzers are the only drugstore lip glosses that feature flavors, at least among the "grown-up" makeup brands (not Bonne Bell--no offense). I have mixed feelings about this product.
The lip glosses are nicely packaged in a squeeze tube, not with a brush applicator, so they're easy to apply on the go. The packaging is nice looking and the colors offered are all fun, upbeat, and juicy. Like most lip gloss offerings, the colors are sheer but pack a ton of shine, so they would be great either solo or layered over a lipstick.
Each of the lip glosses is flavored, with picks like guava and grape. This is where I take away points for this product. The glosses themselves are really nice, but some of the flavors are a little odd. So, you might really love a particular color, but not the accompanying flavor.
This is why I'm not really a fan of flavored lip glosses anyway. They're usually better in theory than in practice! And it can tempt you to lick your lips, which ruins the look and probably isn't healthy anyway.
Cover Girl has made a lot of different lip products over the years, some of them really great, and some of them just so-so. While this is a really nice product, I think it would appeal more to younger girls--maybe in the ten to fourteen year old set--than to grown women.
It's just a shame because the glosses themselves are really swell and the color selection is awesome. I just wish they weren't flavored. If you do like flavored gloss, though, you'll be glad that they're so cheaply priced, because you can stock up on several (or all of the) different flavors without breaking the bank!
