Eyeshadow That Lasts All Day (Report Review)

When it comes to wearing makeup that is in, I choose to look for all the hottest trends on the market. Some of those trends are so expensive that I can not purchase one thing on the list while there are some trends that are more affordable. One of the trends that I can afford to keep up with is the trend of makeup. I watch for all the magazines who offer beauty tips and when I am done reading what is hot at the moment, I make a dash for the store.

The last time that I picked up a magazine and seen the makeup selection, I knew I had to head to my closest store. I seen the newest colors available and knew what and how to apply the makeup. The makeup choice that I knew I could trust most when it comes to mixing colors is Maybelline. There are after all a large number of Maybelline colors that are popular and with good reason. A large number of people will use these products and will recommend them to their friends.

I had always been a person who did not like much makeup and thought that when I wore it, I looked like a circus clown. One day a friend of mine showed me the proper way to put it on and since then, I would say that I own almost a shade of every color available in nearly every manufacturer. With that said, the one brand that I know that I trust most and purchase the most is Maybelline.

I tend to purchase Maybelline either in my big name brand stores as well as any of the discount stores that I shop in. NO matter where I find the Maybelline products, I know that I have a good name brand that is even worth the higher cost in the stores as well as the cheaper cost in some stores as well.
Pros:  Goes great with all outfits.
Great new eye color product (Report Review)

My local drugstore is always running sales on Maybelline cosmetics, so when I decided that I wanted a new purple eyeshadow palette, I decided to try out this new Eye Studio quad. It has four lovely, shimmery shades of purple, from a light lilac to a deep violet.

Despite being a powder shadow, this shadow doesn't feel powdery or dry at all. Instead, it has a very silky, lovely texture that's very pleasant to apply and seems to wear very well all day. It doesn't crease or fade, and it doesn't seem to settle into fine lines quite like some other powder shadows I've tried.

The four purples are all very wearable shades--no odd colors here. In my experience, some makeup brands will offer shadow palettes with three or more shades in them, then throw in at least one odd shade that isn't really wearable or somehow doesn't jive with the other shades in the pan.

Maybelline seems to be pretty good about steering clear of that mistake, and this purple palette is no exception. You could wear any of the colors alone, or you could layer or blend two or more together to create a sexy twist on the classic smokey eye.

The shades included are also versatile enough to look great on a variety of skin tones, and would complement any eye color--green and brown are the two obvious candidates for purple hues, but blue, gray, or hazel would work well with these shades, too.

I'll use the lightest shades all over my lids for a soft lilac eye during the day time, then add a medium shade into the crease if I need a little more pronounced color. Then I'll use the darker shades of purple to line my lids or create a smokey eye at night.
Pros:  --Great colors
--Silky feel
Cons:  --None
