Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer 10oz (Report Review)

I tried out the Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer 10oz when I received a small sample packet of it from Jergens. The thing that I really didn\'t like about it was the scent. I generally prefer skin care products and moisturizers to be unscented, because I do not really appreciate heavy floral scents that tend to be overpowering and cloying to the senses. I guess the scent of the Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer was not as bad as some other moisturizers that I have experienced, but I would still have preferred for it to be unscented. I think it rubbed into my skin pretty well, but it was a little greasier than I typically like my moisturizers. I would suggest getting a sample of this product first before you decide to buy a bottle for yourself, because the bottles are pretty large and I hate ending up stuck with a large bottle of product that I will never use again. I would recommend this product for those who do not mind scented products and are looking for a cheap moisturizer.

It's OK (Report Review)

I have heard a lot of hype about Jergens so I decided to try their lotion. They emphasize the fact that they start healing from the source so it made me curious.
First of all, my skin is gets severely dry and I also have eczema on my arms and neck so my skin gets irritated by many products very easily, so it\'s hard for me to find a lotion that is right for me. I tried using this on my dry patches of skin where I have eczema, and I should have read the ingredients first because it irritated my skin and it burned. In the ingredients, it states that fragrance is added to this product which is why it irritated my skin. Because of this, I usually use it where I don\'t have open dry patches of skin, but rather when my skin is feeling a bit tight. I do not believe that their claim for their lotion penetrating through five layers of skin is true because after two weeks of use I did not really see any improvement. It only temporarily moisturizes my hands.
All in all, if you are looking for a cheap lotion that will just do the job, this is for you. I do not recommend this for people with sensitive skin, however.

Great For Skin! (Report Review)

Hi I have been using Jergens for a while now with their different moisturizing lotions for dry skin. Jergens is definitely a good brand that has been going strong and has a decent reputation. I have not really tried other moisturizers so I cannot compare.
The nice thing about Jergens is that it is a brand that can be found in many stores rather than just limited or anything fancy. I use this simply to help with dry skin. If you are looking for something extra fancy, try looking somewhere else. For me though personally, I do not care too much which brand I use because I just want to not have dry skin.
The cost of Jergens is not that expensive either which is another reason I like it. There are multiple Jergens' products, the Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin seems to be nice since it will help with Dry Skin so I may get it next time I get a moisturizer. Jergens also smells pleasant as well.
I suggest going out and trying multiple brands and seeing which one works the best. If you want you can chart the cost vs. quality and see which one is worth it.
Pros: |
The pros are that it is a nice brand and not too costly. |
Cons: |
No real cons because I have not tried other brands or can't remember them. |
