I still remember the Number Munchers Computer Game from when I used to play it in computer lab during my time in elementary school. I can easily see why educators would think that including a game like Number Munchers in the elementary school curriculum would be a good idea. By making a game educational, children are more likely to feel that they are not being forced to do something educational when, in fact, they actually are. I remember that the Number Munchers game allows you to learn about things like prime numbers, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. When you get enought correct answers on one level, you get to move onto the next level and go on an adventure to earn more points and advance to even high levels. The positive reinforcement when you get correct answers helps you learn and master the basics of mathematics. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Number Munchers Computer Game to children and to parents who are looking for a good educational math game for their kids.
