I used to really like lanyard because it was a fun, relatively cheap toy that I could play with. Lanyard if basically a type of plastic "string" that you can use to make different things. For instance, you can use two strands of different colors to weave or braid together a keychain or even a bracelet. I remember I once had a book that taught me how to make different things with lanyard string. I remember some more complicated projects, where I could weave together a fish keychain or even make something that could be attached to the end of my zipper and be used as a zipper pull. Overall, I would definitely recommend lanyard for children over the age of eight because it is a wonderful thing for children to play with when they are bored and it is great for keeping mischievous fingers busy and out of trouble. Furthermore, lanyard string is pretty cost effective and if you buy it in bulk at some sort of arts and crafts store, you will not even have to spend that much money on a great toy for children.
