I have tried and love the product CHI 44 Iron Guard Thermal Protection Spray CHI 44 Iron
Guard Thermal Protection Spray It is amazing!! I have really dry hair and this is wonderful
For spraying on your hair to protect it from the flat iron.
Normal use from a flat iron causes

It's not as bad as people say (Report Review)

I ran out of my heat protectant so I went out to find a new one. I already love the CHI straighteners so why not try their heat protectant?
First of all, the packaging is pretty nice. It's easy to spray out the product. My hair is pretty straight and thin, but I have some bad hair days so sometimes I'll touch up and straighten my hair. Usually, I'll brush out my hair and spray some of the protection spray on and comb it out until it tries and it always does the trick for me. I always keep my straightener on a low heat setting so that's probably why this heat protectant does not create seem for me like many others have complained. I feel like it really does protect my hair. I have not tried using it when I curled my hair yet but I am planning to. My only complaint is that it has a funky chemical smell to it that bothers me, but I can live with it.
All in all, I am satisfied with this product and it's a good alternative to some other products. I probably won't buy this again because it's just an "average" product.

I tried out the CHI 44 Iron Guard Thermal Protection Spray in conjunction with the CHI Farouk 1" Original Ceramic Flat Iron. I was somewhat disappointed with this product because I was expecting it to protect my hair from heat damage when I used the flat iron. I tried spritzing it on and coating my hair be running my fingers through my hair to make sure that the spray had evenly coated my strands. I then used the flat iron on it and was shocked to see steam coming from my hair. It was pretty alarming, given that I thought the spray was supposed to help prevent the flat iron from burning my hair. It seemed to have a counterproductive effect. Maybe I should have waited longer for the spray to fully dry first? But I thought that the small amount of spray that I used would not take that long to dry. I was too scared to try using it again after my negative initial experience. I would not recommend this product to others, especially those who have sensitive hair that is more prone to heat damage.
