Our family purchased this printer as a replacement for our Epson Stylus printer. The main reason that we were looking for a replacement was because of the fact that the Stylus printer went through ink like it was water.
The installation of our HP Desktop 1050 was very easy and required only running one disk for install.
The print quality for black and white images is perfect and this is our main use of the product as I'm a couponer and like to save as much money as possible.
The scanner works wonderfully. Users are able to adjust the pixels per inch so that the images will cleanly scan at a larger size than the original size of the photograph or document.
Color prints on regular copy paper are of a good quality, however, the printer has not yet been tested with photo paper.
We've been running the printer with moderate to heavy use for just over one month and still have plenty of ink in the tanks.
This is a very simple product to use and will easily replace individual printers and scanners.
