Family Game Night, here we come! (Report Review)
Aug 30, 2011 by MustachedPillow
Consumer rating: (5)
The Nintendo Wii is possibly one of the best items that my family and I have invested in. With thousands of games to fulfill everyone in the family's wants and needs.
The Console: The sleek, asymmetrical, white design of this console is a modern addition to any family room.
The Controllers: The unique design of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk are modern and sleek just like the console. The buttons are easy to reach and operate, and the Nunchuk is an extremely accurate steering device.
The Games: Here I will give a little sneak peek to some of my family's favorite games:
My Kids: Super Smash Bros. Brawl is all of my kids' favorite game for the Wii. It involves the player to choose an iconic Nintendo character and go into battle against their friends and foes. A fun game, but it's best for older children, probably 8 and up.
Wii Sports Resort: A great game for the whole family. It involves the players competing in many different sports such as wakeboarding, Frisbee, and more. It even helps my kids get their daily exercise! Family friendly, though younger children might not be able to understand the rules. 5 and up seems like a good age.
Wii Fit: My favorite game. It is great for relaxing my mind and getting aerobic exercise. It involves the player doing daily yoga, aerobic exercises, strength exercises, and some fun balance games. A great game for any age that strengthens your mind and your body.
Overall, if you are looking for the perfect video game console that doesn't have all of those teenager shoot-em-up games that you don't want to expose your young children to, and you want fun yet family friendly games, look no further than the sleek, modern Nintendo Wii.

Simply Amazing (Report Review)

I love the Wii. It has every games that anyone can think of. It has driving games, learning games, sport games, and just other fun games. Even though I bought this mainly for my son, from time to time, I would play it by myself too. I love the feature of the Balance Board. Sometimes, I'm too lazy and with the balance board, it's so much easy to exercise now. I also love playing karaoke and dancing games on here too. The karaoke games work so well. Even though people might critique the wii as having low quality games and bad graphics, I simply love it. I'm not a hard core gamer so this is what I want. It's fun to play especially with family. Our family played together more than once every week and we enjoy it so much. I really recommend this console to everyone that just wants to have a fun time.
Pros: |
~ There's a usb & sd card drive
~ Really cool design, I love how when you put a disc in, it's lights up blue. But then when you have a message, it lights up red and that made me scared until I researched it up
~ So many games for everyone, even little kids can play it too
~ So many different add ons such as driving wheel, dancing mat, balance board, microphone, etc.
~ Cheap compared to other consoles
~ Love the motion control feature |
Cons: |
~ People may say that it has bad graphics compared to other but for those people that are not hardcore gamers, this is the right one for you |

WHEEE! I love my new Wii (Report Review)

Nintendo products have always been my favorite, because they make games that are always family friendly, and have you get up and move around instead of becoming a couch potato, and that is really good because it stops my son from becoming just that, and ceasing to ever want to work out.
My favorite games are below:
1. Wii Sports: In a fun way, you can play all kinds of fun sports right from the undying comfort of your very own living room- and at that, you have no additional cost!
2: MarioKartWii: This game is the best because it allows you and your kids to experience the joy of racing, without any of the horrid, bloody burnouts, and crashes, it gives your kid the joy of racing, without inserting violent crash images into his or her mind!!!
3: New Super Mario Bros Wii: This is a nice family friendly, 4 player game that involves one heroic person called Mario who along with his green brother Luigi go on countless missions that are all for one cause: saving Mario's true love, Peach, from the evil clutches of Bowser, an evil spiky turtle.
Be sure to know that i love all these games the same, the numbers don't mean anything!!! :)

Fun for the whole family! (Report Review)
Aug 24, 2011 by Colton
Consumer rating: (4)
This system is very fun and will get the whole family motivated to play.
The controllers have motion sensors in them that are pretty much dead on accurate once setup correctly.
The motion sensors lead to making you very active because of the WII sports included which make you play all kinds of games such as bowling, baseball, golf and tennis.
The graphics could have been a bit better for this console however they aren't terrible by any means.
The system has given me hours of play and use and it's still fun to this day.
Pros: |
Fun for the family,
Makes you get active,
Plenty of games,
Small and slim. |
Cons: |
none. |

More Family Friendly (Report Review)

I have had this, the xbox, xbox 360, ps2 and ps3, i prefer the ps3 because it is more for avid gamers like me who play harder games, and first person shooters and such, the wii is more on the family friendly side, it is for casual gamers that play easy games and don't play very often, so if you fit the description of a casual gamer, then this is for you. But i still have the wii because it is still a really amazing piece of hardware. With some games you can actually get exercise and that is what i like about the wii as opposed to the playstation, even though i heard something about the Playstation Move, which i will most probably be looking into, but i still hands down think the wii is the best moving gaming system and its a bang for your buck so if you like games that don't make your feel lethargic and want more exercise in your games then the wii is really the system for you. My favorite games are super mario bros, wii sports, and wii sports resort. If you already have a wii and are looking for games, then you should look into those, i feel you will like them.

Great Fit for All! (Report Review)
Aug 23, 2011 by Yoon
Consumer rating: (4)
I have had a Wii for a while and surpisingly the only game I believe I have is... well its the Wii Sports! Even though I only have one game, I still think it is definitely a worthy console and I am interested in seeing what the Wii 2 will hold.
The Wii is definitely a console fit for all. I played it with my family and friends and everyone gets into it when we are playing Wii Golf or Wii Bowling or whatever else Wii Sports has to offer. The console is really small and light so it can easily be taken many places and so far I have not had any issues. The controllers are wireless and it actually feels like you are golfing in some aspects or even bowling. Obviously, it is not the real thing but one of the closest to it. Suppose it is a rainy day and you want to golf... well get on Wii Golf and have fun! I do believe it can get people to get active in a some ways. Other games you can get are the dancing games or the Nintendo exclusive games that I think are definitely worth it based on what I have heard.
The cost is also relatively nice compared to other consoles. I checked on Amazon and you can get it for a little over $100! That is a steal and it may drop whenever the next consoles come out.
Overall I give the Wii a 4/5 because of the easiness to use, the capabilities of it, and overall quality.
Pros: |
The pros are nice games, easy to use, and cost. |
Cons: |
Not really any cons but if you are into more of graphics, I am not sure how well it is. |

Good for some gamers (Report Review)
Aug 22, 2011 by tona37211
Consumer rating: (4)
I wanted this gaming system since I do not play very many games and the games that I do love are made by Nintendo. I am an old school Nintendo player and just last year, I was hooked on the original Donkey Kong. My friend and I would sit around the computer playing some of the games made by a number of gamers who make the original games available to people like me who are looking for the old school games.
I like this game system because someone actually thought of the idea to use the problems that most of us have with playing video games like moving our hands and moving our bodies as we play video games. The fact that I can move my hands and make the player on the tv move, well that is just great for me. I also love the graphics on the Wii since most of the game systems prior did not look this good. I enjoy playing the Wii and play it on a daily basis. My favorite game is Wii Sports since it combines the game of bowling and tennis. I do have some trouble with some of the games that are available on the Wii since I am not much of a gaming person but some of the games are even hard for my children who loves games to do. The games that are made for the Wii for the little kids are not age appropriate as well and this is something that bothers me. I like the overall experience of the Wii but would rather it had more games and that the games that are available are made age appropriate for the ones who are playing the games. I just wish that my preschooler was able to play more games than the just select few that he is able to play now.
Pros: |
An assortment of games.
Is wireless and has a number of accessories. |
Cons: |
Needs to be more age appropriate. |

A Great Console (Report Review)
Aug 22, 2011 by clementine21
Consumer rating: (4)
The Wii is a great system. I bought my Wii about 3 years ago and I still use it a few times a week, so I definitely get my money's worth from it. This system is great because there are games out there for everyone. One of the main reasons why I purchased the Wii is for the Virtual Console where you can purchase older games from past systems and play them on your Wii. You can also play Gamecube games on the Wii, which is a great bonus. Overall the Wii is a really fun system and has tons of family games to play.
Pros: |
-The Virtual Console game selection is great!
-The games that use the motion controller are great and lots of fun
-Lots of games for children |
Cons: |
-The only cons I have for the Wii is I wish there was a larger library of games for the older fans. There are great games for the older fans but nothing in comparison to the selections of games for children. So if you’re looking for a wider library of more mature games then the Xbox360 or Playstation 3 are a better choice. But if you’re okay playing Mario, Donkey Kong, Kirby, and The Legend of Zelda games then the Wii is the way to go. |

Not as good as other current consoles.. (Report Review)

My wife wanted this since she doesn't really like the games on the xbox 360. She thinks those games are too serious. She just wants to have a fun time without worrying about scores and violent things. So we got the Wii. First time, it was really fun, especially with the motion controls. She loved it and I thought it was good for the price. But after several games and videos online, I found out that this missed a spot. The quality of the games. The graphics are so bad on games that are not developed by Nintendo. For example, SvR 2011 on the xbox 360 and wii are like 2 different worlds. The Wii graphics are really bad. I guess the third game developers doesn't want to go all out on Wii. But overall this is still good for the price. My wife loved it and still plays it till this day. We bought the balance board and it was really fun. It makes me actually want to exercise which is a good thing. So my final conclusion is that if you have small kids at home, you should get the Wii. If you have teenagers or hard core gamers, you should get the xbox 360 or ps3.
Pros: |
- motion controls adds a new level to gaming
- a lot of add on! Love the balance board
- comfortable controller
- cheaper games |
Cons: |
- horrible graphics
- not that much games |

Fun for the whole family! (Report Review)
Aug 22, 2011 by jonathon

So I got this for Christmas and it was a hit in the family! Everyone wanted to play this game. The first game that I bought was "Wii Party." It was just the best experience ever! I love the motion control. Playing games is like a new experience. If you guys are looking for a console with super fun games for the whole family, this is the perfect console for you. First of all, the price is cheaper than the PS3 or Xbox 360 so that's a plus in my book. Second, there are so many fun games exclusively on the Wii. Unlike the other 2, there are so many family-oriented games. Most of them use the motion controls which are super fun. Everyone in my family love the Wii! My 2 nephews (4 & 5) love it! Everytime they come to my house, all they want is to play the wii! Since the first time I got this, I bought 3 more games (Super Smash Brother Brawl, Kirby Epic Yarn, And Donkey Kong Returns). Those 3 games doesn't use the motion controls and are still fun. I read reviews about the Balance Board and it looks super fun and add a new experience. In my opinion, Nintendo use the motion controls and body detector first than the PS3 Move & xbox kinect. My final words is to go get it now! You're not going to regret it! I promise, especially if you have kids in your house.
Pros: |
- Cheap price
- Motion Control adds a new experience to gaming
- Fun for the whole family!
- So many games
- A lot of different add-on such as the tennis racket & driving wheel which makes it seem as you're really in the game! |
Cons: |
- Some of the games doesn't have good quality compared to xbox 360 & ps3
- If you buy this, beware of kids crying and whining begging you to play the wii! ;)
besides that, everything is perfect! |
