Weber One Touch Gold 18 Charcoal Grill (Report Review)

This is a great grill for a picnic at the park or so. I have had this grill for a little over 2 years and I love it. My family uses the Weber One Touch Gold 18 Charcoal Grill everytime we spend quality time together. I love that the Weber One Touch Gold 18 Charcoal Grill cleans itself and has an ash catcher to make my life a whole lot easier. I bought the Weber One Touch Gold 18 Charcoal Grill at a great price for around 100 dollars. You can also buy a warranty that can go up to 10 years if you would like. Every time I've used this grill the food came out tasting great and evenly heated/cooked. The Weber One Touch Gold 18 Charcoal Grill is great Nothing has ever burned when I've made it which tells you that anyone can use it. I really dont like that you do not have to turn the whole grill upside down to light a new fire. The Weber One Touch Gold 18 Charcoal Grill really lasts long and I would recommend it to any of my friends that are looking for a grill that can make great tasting food.
Pros:  ash catcher
lasts long
The Weber Grill! (Report Review)

Weber makes the most popular grills in the world. The big selling points are that they are easy to use and very durable with the Weber One Touch 18.5 being no exception.

First, a kettle grill is easier to master than a grill that is shallow. There is better air circulation. Also, the food is up a bit higher, so it is less likely that new grillers or bad grillers burn the heck out of the food. I am most likely to recommend Weber Kettles to someone looking for a first charcoal grill.

The kettle shape is familiar to most people looking at grills. Weber carries a small tailgate kettle plus the 18.5 inch and the 22.5 inch with that being the measure across the top of the grate.

My first Weber kettle was an 18.5 that I used for over 15 yrs. I upgraded to the 22.5 inch for more space. But, I actually prefer the smaller 18.5 as my arms will go around the kettle at 18.5 inches but not at 22.5. There are wheels on one side of both sizes, so I end up pulling and tilting the 22.5 where I would lift the 18.5 over the edge of the porch area.

There are also silver and gold in terms of the models. The difference there is that the silver Weber grill has an open ash catcher pan while the gold has an enclosed catcher. I don't make much difference, but a closed catcher might be a better idea in windy areas or if transporting the grill. I would say that both the 18.5 and 22.5 are a bit big for taking along, unless you have a SUV or truck.

The Weber kettles designs are basic but classic and work great. There is a small grate at the bottom to lift the charcoal up for circulation of the air so the fire burns hot. Then there's the top grate where the food grills.

The Weber kettle has top and bottom vents which regulate the fire and the temperature. In addition, the domed lid works wonders for capping down flares or cutting back the heat.

So in All............This grill is Great!

I Highly Recommend This To People That Grill A lot Or Enjoy those 4th of July Barbecues or Those Days At The Beach!
Pros:  The Fact That It Last Long!
Cons:  No Such Thing!
good for camping (Report Review)

I got my whole family together and told them to come to our home so we could all go camping as one big family, and i knew that we would be doing a lot of grilling so i went ahead and bought 2 of these babies, because a huge grill with switches and knobs would for one be hard for the kids to operate on their own, and two, would be hard to fit all at once in the car and take around the camping site. So as i said, i went with two of these really good grills, it is good for camping, and camping only, if you have one at home, you will have to wait a long time for the coals to start burning every time you grill, and i don't want to do that, it is much easier to get one that uses propane for the home, but i enjoyed using it while camping because it also gave the kids the real camping feel, because using charcoal is much more exciting that using propane, so all in all this is a really good grill if you want a little portable thing that you can use for portability. Also if you want to impress the kids, go with this one!

We purchased this grill last year on clearance at Walmart and we are very pleased with it. It really is a nice grill. It was easy to put together. It came with really nice instructions that were simple and easy to follow. It is sturdy and doesn't fall to one side or the other like some other grills seem to do. It has a little lock on it too so when you are cooking or just done grilling you can lock it. It has the nice catcher underneath so no hot coals will hit the deck or ashes come out. You can easily take this out to empty it later when it is cool. The top has a nice opening that you can close to make the smokey taste or leave it open and smell the wonderful aroma of grilled out summer time foods. You will love the wheels on it as you can easily move it anywhere on your deck, patio, or even grass. It is super easy to move around. We are always pushing ours to the other side of the deck when not in use and it is easy to do. It has a nice grill on it for the foods. We love it!!
Pros:  VERY IMPRESSIVE
Cons:  NONE
goog grill (Report Review)

Usually whenever i want a hamburger or hotdog, i go to a restaurant. That is true, because unfortunately i don't know how to use a grill and engage it to make good grilled hot-dogs. One day, though, i just said NO, i am not going on like this because for one, the store and restaurant bought burgers taste HORRIBLE and second of all, i have to learn how to grill soon. So i bought the most simple looking grill i could find, not one of those huge grills that has all kinds of knobs and switches, just a plain charcoal grill. And do i tell you, that was the best choice i made, this grill is awesome, i just had to skim through the owners manuals online and ZOOM, i was off, on my fresh, great cooking spree. The other review was quite right too, for the beginner, this is without a doubt the grill for you. I just had to start up the coals, and leave them to heat up on the grill, while it was doing that, i ran to the grocery store and picked up some hamburger patties, then i put them on the grill, and turned them every so often until i felt they were cooked, then i could enjoy my fresh, grilled meat!
Good grill for those learning to cook on a grill (Report Review)

If you are a beginner griller and are looking for a grill that is durable, this is the grill for you. This grill is a more expensive charcoal grill but it does just what you want it to do. It will work to cook your meals and give it a nice taste without much of the hassle of learning how to cook on a grill. Once you have mastered a charcoal grill, you will then be able to move onto the propane or gas grill. I like this grill and have had one for a number of years. I am not an experienced griller in regards to what I cook, but what food I do cook, comes out good.

I like to watch the cooking shows on tv where they do a number of meats on the grill but I can not bring myself to do anything other than hot dogs and hamburgers on my grill. I would honestly hate to do anything more because I would not want to ruin some meat and then end up not liking the taste of the meat anyways. For this reason, I like this grill most and firstmost.

The charcoal grill is perfect since it comes with wheels. This grill does not come with a temperature gauge and this can make it more difficult for you to see how the meat is doing or at what temperature you are cooking it at. If you really want to have a good idea about the grill that you are using, you will want to have a temperature gauge.

Overall, this grill is not a bad little grill when it comes to the taste of the food that comes out of it. This grill does what I want it to do without spending much money on a higher brand or style of grill.
Pros:  Has wheels
Cons:  Does not have a temperature gauge
