The Blender From Heaven! (Report Review)

The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a basic, reliable stick blender, I would highly recommend the Braun Multiquick MR 300.
I am a gadget person. Anything that makes my life easier, belongs in my kitchen. I love to cook but since I work fulltime, I want anything that will make things quick and easy. I thought the Braun Stick Blender fit in this category. A small blender that I can easily store and get out for quick jobs.
I came across the Braun Multiquick MR 300 Stick Blender about two years ago while surfing on ourhouse.com. I always ?wanted? one of these but never bought one. Well that day I did. I placed the stick blender in my cart and hit the checkout button. About a week later, my stick blender was in my house. Now what do I do with it?
To be honest, my stick blender sat in my cupboard for about three months before I got it out and played with it. I just didn?t know what to use it for. First I started with Slim Fast shakes. I hate the powdery substance that sticks to the bottom of the cup, but my handy stick blender took care of that. Still it seemed like a lot of money to use just for shakes. OK what else can I use it for?
Two years later, I still haven?t found many uses for my Braun Stick Blender. I have used it for getting the lumps out of my gravy, to puree tomatoes and in soups. Even though the Braun Stick Blender isn?t an appliance I use every day, it does come in very handy when doing certain jobs. When making things like soup, you use less bowls and pans if you use the stick blender. You can do the cooking and blending all in the same pot. The Braun Multiquick MR 300 Stick Blender is the cheapest model of the Braun line of Stick Blenders. What I mean by cheapest, is cost. It is also the most basic model. The blender is white with a green button on it. At the bottom of the blender is the blade. The shaft of the blender is made of plastic. The blender is small and lightweight. It is easy to operate with one hand.
To use the stick blender, just plug it in and push the green button. It is that simple to use. As long as you hold the button in, the blender blends. As soon as you release the button, it stops. The stick blender only has one speed and is a relatively quiet appliance to run.
The Braun Stick Blender is simple to use but if not used properly can get rather messy. Make sure the blade is submerged in the liquid before turning on. Also make sure the blade is stopped before emerging from the liquid. You will only do this wrong once, before you learn- it makes one heck of a mess if you forget and pull it out or start it before being in the liquid.

can't wait to get another one (Report Review)

Like the title states in my review, I can't wait to get another one! The one I had was one of my favorite appliances in the kitchen. But it did eventually poop out on me after two years of use.
I had received this Braun blender as a thank you gift from one of my girlfriends. I instantly fell in love with it after the first use.
I made mashed potatoes with it that first use. It was so easy! I usually boil my potatoes and then have to transfer the potatoes to a glass bowl so that I can use my regular blender to mix it without scratching up and damaging my pots. With this Braun blender, I just immerse it into the potatoes in the pot and blend. When done, just bring it up, shake or scrape the potato off of it, detach, and wash.
I have also used this to make strawberry lemonade slushies, frozen margarita's, and blended soups.
I do find that it is too powerful to scramble eggs though. It makes it too frothy.
After two years of bi-weekly use of this blender, the motor finally gave out. I am now searching for a good price on a new one.

Could use some improvements (Report Review)

It's generally pretty quiet and works very fast it takes about 20 seconds to completely mix in my protein and it makes the milk more thick and it feels like a milkshake. It's also great for cooking and mixing your basic eggs up in the morning for breakfast. This is what I landed on and I'm sure glad I did because ever since I bought this my protein shakes have never been better it makes everything completely dissolve and there is no more chunks!Overall it's a great little mixer and if you're looking for one I don't see how you couldn't like this one.
It's very easy to clean you just use a scrub brush along with some dish soap and it cleans up to new within about 30 seconds or less.
I was tired of mixing my protein mixes by hand so I decided that I needed a blender or something to make my protein mix not as chunky. The design is nice because it's pretty slim and but long so it goes in most cups or bowls that you're trying to stir up without any issues. The button is very easy to push and you don't need to apply any force for it to stir.
I've tried it a few times for other uses and find that my existing appliances are preferable for most mixing and chopping jobs.Multiquick 300 is the bottom of the Braun line.It has saved my gravy a few times when the lumps get away from me.I make several soups that are either partially or fully pureed. It is much easier to simply immerse the blender in the stock pot than to remove the soup to my blender. This experience might have been different if I'd chosen a model with more power and features.
Pros: |
will mix up stuff pretty good. |
Cons: |
still needs to be improved. |
