Awesome, silky, natural color (Report Review)

I've read a lot of magazine articles stating the various pros and cons of cream blush vs. powder blush. I've seen blushes in loose and pressed powder form, in sticks, in liquid tubes, and in gels. But I think this is the first time I've seen it in a mousse format, in a little pot.

Maybelline really nailed it with their Dream Mousse foundations, so I was curious to see whether the Mousse blushes would be any good as well. They are, and I think they may even be my new favorite brand of blush.

There are several lovely shades to choose from, including nice natural pinks and deeper shades of rose and plum. The color range isn't as large as the powder blush offerings of some brands, like Cover Girl's Cheekers line, but the colors available are all very nice and wearable and I think they'd be good on a variety of skin tones.

Application is simple: you use a brush, sponge, or your fingers to dab on the blush and blend it into your cheeks. I found it was easiest to use a sponge or my fingers, for the most natural result.

The mousse texture yields a really soft, natural, "I've just been outside in the brisk air" type of flush. It looks so natural and way better than the powder blushes I used to use. And the texture is so silky soft, you don't feel like you're layering drying makeup on your face.

My one complaint is the pot packaging. If you're dipping sponges or even your fingers in the pot, well, that's kind of gross. A squeeze tube would have been more sanitary, but it seems like most mousse products come in pots, so I suppose it's an industry standard. In any case, this is definitely now one of my makeup must-haves.
Pros:  --Great mousse texture
--Nice color options
--Super-blendable
Cons:  --Wish it came in a tube
