really heavy! (Report Review)

I was recently out looking for a candy jar for my office, and since i like to buy candy i thought this jar would be a good fit. I found out that the Anchor Hocking 1-Gallon Heritage Hill Jar with Glass Lid is too big and even thought I had a lot of candy, it looked off. I instead used the Anchor Hocking 1-Gallon Heritage Hill Jar with Glass Lid for cookies and this works perfectly. The Anchor Hocking 1-Gallon Heritage Hill Jar with Glass Lid is a bit heavy so I would suggest to anyone that wants to buy this to be aware that this is not light at all! The Anchor Hocking 1-Gallon Heritage Hill Jar with Glass Lid also seems like it would break if you dropped it hard enough. I paid around 15$ for mine even though the others said that they paid around 20 for theirs. Honestly, I could have gotten a cheaper one from the dollar store. That is what I get for not looking around more. The Anchor Hocking 1-Gallon Heritage Hill Jar with Glass Lid serves as a really great cookie jar because it's clear and you can see the delicious cookies inside.

I love this jar. I really do. But I have to say it has some real flaws to it. The good thing about this jar is that it's big. It can carry a lot of stuff in that's what it's a 1 gallon jar. You can put a bag of sugar or flour in and it would fit perfectly. And the good thing is that the mouth of the jar is big enough so that you can get sugar/flour out of jar with the measuring cups easily. On the bad side, because it is big, that means it's also heavy. It's not like super heavy but it is heavy that it is easy to break. Another bad thing is that it's super expensive. $20 is just way too much for me. I can't afford to buy a jar that costs that much. Another bad thing is that it cracks. After I was finished with the caramel for my apples, I noticed that there was a crack on the side of the jar. I dont' know what happened. Maybe the jar was too close to the stove? But I'm really disappointed. Another bad thing is that the lid is not able to be closed all the way down. It will have gaps which will attract ants. All in all, it's a great jar. I love the looks of it and it serves a good purpose. But it does have its flaws.

I love this jar so much! It's the perfect jar for anything such as cookies, cereal, flour, sugar, and any other things you can think of. I bought just 1 and used that for sugar and it worked perfectly so I decided to go buy another one to put in flour. It works perfectly! Getting sugar and flour out to bake is so easy now. The cups measurements fit in the jar so it's really easy and doesn't spill all over the place. Another good thing about this jar is that it looks really fancy but it's not that much. I bought it on Amazon for about $20. That may be expensive for some people but for for me, it's so worth it. This jar is amazing. The only problem I have is that it's kinda heavy so watch out. You might break it since it's glass. And I also don't like how the lid doesn't close tightly. It's just on it so it's easy for ants to come in. But overall, this jar is perfect for any situation.

1. The lid doesn't close all the way which sometimes cause ants to come in. But from the time I have it till now, which is about 2 years, ants only came in about 2 times which is really good. So this might be a problem for some household.
- It's heavy, well duh, it's a 1 gallon size, so be careful. You might break it since it's glass. |
