Pentel 2B 0.5 X 60mm Hi-Polymer Mechanical Pencil Lead is a great product, and you can genuinely tell that it is higher quality than its cheaper generic brand knockoff products. Although it would initially seem like mechanical pencil lead could make that big of a difference, believe it or not, the quality of lead you are using makes a big difference. No one enjoys using cheap lead that breaks off every two seconds. Also, the fact that the Pentel 2B 0.5 X 60mm Hi-Polymer Mechanical Pencil Lead is 2B is really important -- this means that the lead you are using is dark. I have purchased a really cheap generic brand of lead from a dollar store, and the quality of the lead was truly a joke. It was so light that you could barely read the words you were writing down. Overall, Pentel 2B 0.5 X 60mm Hi-Polymer Mechanical Pencil Lead is a great product that will serve you well. I personally prefer the 0.5mm lead, because it is finer than the 0.7mm lead, but that might just be a personal preference.
