Wonderful! (Report Review)

I love my Brita Water Filter Pitcher. We purchased ours at Walmart and it was very reasonably priced. It comes with easy instructions on how to use it. The filter is wrapped separately so it very sterile and clean. You add your own water and keep it in the refrigerator for use. It is so nice! My kids even love it. My husband loves it too. You can easily fill it up and it is filtered as you fill it. It is so handy and easy to pull out for use. It holds the perfect amount of water that you will use too. The packaging was very nice. It was secured inside the box. Not too hard to open. Not over large that it takes up too much room in your refrigerator either. It really works. When you see your filter after use then you will see what a great job it really does. You can see some of the grime that actually comes out of the faucet that you normally would be drinking. You will never go without this wonderful filter after you buy it. I use mine and love it. It really is worth buying and will keep your family healthy.
Pros:  All five stars for me!!
Cons:  None .. wish it was a touch bigger maybe
It Does What It Promises! (Report Review)

I have been using the Brita Water Filter Pitcher for 3 or 4 years now and am very happy with the product. It gives you clean tasting water and is extremely easy to set up and use. Living in an area where you have to buy your water to drink unless you go to the trouble of boiling it this is a great product for the price!

It is also very durable and I have only replaced my pitcher once in all these years because of breakage. Using this product also means less plastic bottles in the landfills so that is a great thing!

In reading the other posts I see where people talk about the cost of the replacement filter. I live alone so the filter lasts me 6 months so paying $8 every 6 months for clean drinking water is well worth the cost to me! I recently saw them on sale in a 3 pack that was $12 so that price is very economical.

For my money this is the best water purifying system available cost wise and add in the benefit of not filling up the landfills with anymore plastic bottles would be worth me buying the filter once a month if I had a large family.
Pros:  water tastes great, easy to use
Cons:  none
Drinkable Tap Water (Report Review)

I live somewhere that requires us to filter our water and purchased the Brita water filter. There are several things that we like about the brita and most of it is simply the fact that we are able to remove the contamanints in the water. It was cheaper than purchasing water bottles everyday and saved us a ton of money at the end of the year. If you factor in the cost of the filters that are replaced every couple of months, it was still cheaper than purchasing case of water after case of water.

Everyone in my house will drink at least 6 bottles of water everyday. They will use the pitcher of water at least 3 times a day instead of drinking bottle after bottle of water. We will instead use bottles of water while we are out of the house but the bottles of water that we use then are simply just bottles saved that we refill. This allows me to be able to keep a better eye on the amount of money that I am spending each month on items that are not necessary while allowing the ones that do need to be purchased to be purchased. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to save money and who likes the taste of filtered water instead of tap water.

If I know that I am going to be using a large amount of water each day for my kids such as making kool aid or lemonade, I will instead fill up the pitcher of water and then use the filtered water to make my drinks instead. I am this way giving them safe tap water to drink while making sure that they are enjoying their everyday drinks.
Pros:  Makes the water taste good
Cons:  you have to buy new filters every couple of months or sooner depending on how often you use your Brita.
Brita Water Filter Pitcher (Report Review)

I purchased the Brita Water Filter Pitcher when I went to college and needed a quick and easy way of filtering my drinking water. I guess it ends up being cheaper than buying water bottles every day, but the cost of the replacement water filters can be kind of expensive, too. I guess it depends on how much water you tend to drink each week, and whether you like having water bottles for the convenience of taking them with you on the go. The main thing that I think is irritating about this product is that the filter is sort of hard to place into the water pitcher. It looks like it should fit easily, but oftentimes, it will not quite twist in place tightly and you have to keep fiddling with it until you are absolutely sure you have the tightest fit possible. Otherwise, the water is basically leaking through without going through the filter, which totally defeats the purpose of having a water filter in the first place. If I could, I would prefer just not to use the Brita Water Filter Pitcher.
Cons:  - cost of replacement filters
