Coby - TF-DVD8501 Portable DVD Player with Screen. To start this review right off the back i would like to say that this item is not the latest and greatest of all dvd players available in the market today. this dvd player on first impressions feels cheap and the screen resolution is poor in comparison to other players in the market , but if you are able to pick these up at a fair price then i would say go for it.The menu of this player is one of the most annoying features on the product itself, there is no simple way to get all of the features you want on this device, this device makes you want to destroy it after watching the menu for more than 5 minutes and i would say that this is my personal preference after owning it for some time now.The screen size is just about right for your kids but for a full grown sized person or with someone less than a 20/20 vision, they are going to have a lot of discomforts with this product.In conclusion, after owning this product I would not recommend this product to anyone considering the amount of choices you have to choose from.

My dad received one of these as a prize during his company's Christmas party. I got it for free, but I probably would not buy one of these with my own money. I found it generally pretty satisfactory, but I do have a few quibbles. The main thing that bothered me was how loud the motor was when it was on -- sometimes the whirring noise would be so loud that it would mask the sound of whatever I was watching. i guess I got used to it, but it was still kind of annoying to listen to the whirring. Aside from the sound, I think the picture quality could have been better as well. Since this is not a high end DVD player, I guess the picture quality is not as good, but it's still watchable. The color adjustment knob is also kind of strange. The color shifts really quickly and usually makes the color too red. For example, what should be skin-colored ends up looking kind of reddish in hue. Overall, I would not recommend this product unless you just want the cheapest portable DVD player that you can find.
