To start off, these headphones are very comfortable. They cover your ear comfortably unlike most other full ear cover headphones. Because of this, the noise isolation they provide is great. However, they don’t compare to the modern noise cancelation headphones.
The highs and high midranges are muddy. The lows on these are probably the best thing about this product. They handle them in a very precise matter, but it is not perfect. The bass is also the other good thing about this product. It sounds right, not too much and not muddy.
Overall, this is a good product, but it has limits. It cannot handle a mass amount of instruments. For instance, these headphones are great toward electronic music, but perform below par with rock or classical music. Although these headphones are over 20 years old, they still perform very good compared to other headphones of a similar price. Not only that, they are very durable and built to last for many years. Regardless of muddy highs and midranges, they are probably the best headphones below the $100 range. My recommendations for anyone going to buy these are for upcoming “audiophiles.” Many people bash Sony headphones for their terrible sound and quality are sure to think again when they see the V6’s.
Pros:  -Comfortable
-Reasonably Priced
-Precise lows and bass
-Built to last
-Great of electronic music
Cons:  -Muddy highs and midranges
-Can’t handle a lot of instruments
-Mediocre at handling classical or rock
