This stuff is pretty nice! (Report Review)

A few years ago my daughter came to stay with us while her husband was on a tour of duty. She brought with her this St Ives apricot face scrub and said, "mom, you HAVE to try this stuff!". I tried it and I loved it! I have combination skin and although it did not correct that issue, it did leave my skin feeling smooth and soft. I like the little bits of hard ground up shell acting as the exfoliant. You just have to be super careful not to get any into your eyes!
Although it left my skin nice and soft, I had to rub in the exfoliant for longer than i'd like to. I think it's because the exfoliant "beads" are so much bigger than and less of them than other exfoliating face wash items. And because it takes some time to get the exfoliating beads to work their magic, it makes me not want to use the products as much.
All in all, I would recommend this product if you don't mind spending the extra time massaging your face. I would love someone else to massage it for me though!

St Ives Apricot Face Scrub (Report Review)

I tried out the St Ives Apricot Face Scrub because I was in need of an exfoliating face wash that would also help with controlling oil production and eliminating blackheads. I thought it worked well for getting rid of a few blackheads on the side of my nose, but that it was too rough on the rest of my face. There are little exfoliating beads dispersed in this face scrub so they can feel a little rough on the skin when you are using it. It does do a good job exfoliating, but you probably do not want to use this product daily. If you have sensitive skin like I do, I would recommend using it a maximum of three to four days a week (and not on consecutive days). The good thing about this product is that it is really cheap and probably comparable to other face scrubs from more expensive brands. It is also relatively easy to find -- most drug stores and supermarkets carry St Ives products. I would recommend this product, with the recommendation that you not use it everyday if you have sensitive skin.
