Good Makeup Choice (Report Review)

I am a big fan of my various makeup choices and therefore, when I discovered Revlon Colorstay Mineral Mousse I was quite surprised at the outcome. I found out that the makeup I was used to using was nothing like the Revlon makeup. I was used to makeup going on smooth but becoming cakey once applied. Once I found out that the makeup could stay on and be as smooth as it was when I put it on, I loved the Revlon instead of other brands.

When I first purchased Revlon I thought that it was a more expensive brand and therefore would have never bought it in the past. I found out that it was not as expensive as I had thought it was and that it actually worked better than the other brands of makeup. With this particular type of makeup, I was able to apply it with my finger as well as with a cotton ball. When I needed to have a touchup applied, I simply squeezed a little bit onto my finger and then applied a small dab of foundation.

With the Revlon Colorstay Mineral Mousse, I found out that I could have even color all over my face and not just one area being darker than the rest. When it comes to clogging my pores, the Revlon mousse did not clog my pores either like the other name brand products. I would definitely recommend this product to friends of mine as well as keep an extra on hand for myself every time that I go someplace. I can not see myself returning to any other type of foundation or makeup after trying the Revlon colorstay Mousse.

If you are looking for a place to purchase Revlon makeup, you can purchase it in most stores including your smaller chain stores and supermarkets. There are even discount stores who offer this particular type of makeup on occasion.
Pros:  Works great as foundation
Great matte makeup, but rather drying (Report Review)

Revlon Mineral Mousse is one of the few mousse foundation products that I've seen packaged in a tube, as opposed to a jar. I definitely like this packaging feature, because it's much more hygienic that dipping my fingers into a makeup pot every day.

You can apply this foundation with your fingers, a brush, or a sponge. It gives a very matte finish to the skin, and seems to help soften the appearance of pores by skimming over them, not sinking in like some liquids.

This formula also has SPF included, which is a nice touch. Too many makeup companies still don't include SPF in their foundations!

It's a long-wearing foundation that doesn't cake up or fade away, and it doesn't clog my pores. It's perfect for all day wear.

As much as I love using this foundation across my T-zone, it's just to drying for the rest of my face. Applying it with a damp sponge seems to help a little, but I still wouldn't recommend using it around your eyes or on the forehead if you have any worries about fine lines.

Matte makeup is great for oily skin, or for achieving a certain "look" makeup-wise, but it just isn't the best choice for a lot of skin types, including more mature or dry skin types. I've used other "mousse" foundations that were much less drying, so if you want a creamier mousse, try one of those instead.

While Revlon isn't exactly marketed to the younger set, I could see this being a great foundation for a teen girl or young woman who needed a T-zone foundation that wouldn't cause her to break out and wouldn't leave her shiny by midday.

Personally, I'll use this for my T-zone and stick to a less drying formula for the rest of my face.
Pros:  --Matte finish
--Medium coverage
--Blendable
--Softens pores
--SPF
Cons:  --Too drying for dry skin
--Not good for fine lines
