Black & Decker 18', 6.5a Electric Mower (Report Review)

The Black & Decker 18', 6.5a Electric Mower is a really great mower for various reasons. It is really easy to use and even my kid mows the lawn sometime because of it's ease. The Black & Decker 18', 6.5a Electric Mower is really lightweight and there is no fuel to deal with. The Black & Decker 18', 6.5a Electric Mower is also quiet to my surprise which would make it a great mower for small neighborhoods. I bought my Black & Decker 18', 6.5a Electric Mower for around 150 which I thought was a decent price because of it's quality, performance, and design. The Black & Decker 18', 6.5a Electric Mower cuts the grass really well except for the cord that sometimes gets in the way and prevents the grass from being cut evenly. This is not a really fancy lawn mower so if you are looking to go all out on a fancy lawn mower then this is not for you. However, if you are looking for something that you will not be using repeatedly then I would recommend the Black & Decker 18', 6.5a Electric Mower to you.

As a person that lives in michigan, we have lots more SNOWY weather per say than we have SUNNY weather, so for that reason only i got this little electric mower, because for only 3 months out of the year, i don't think you need a full fledged gas mower whereas for 9 months out of the year you need a snow blower around so i think it's a good idea to go gas, but anyways, that is besides the point. This mower is good for a small area and performs well in a small area. Our driveway is much more than our yard (weirdly positioned house) so I needed this mower only for mowing a little bit of grass, but i was still SURPRISED with the sheer power and capacity of this mower, i mean I tired out before this mower would quit churning out power, and that is SOMETHING, so for the purpose of mowing a small yard, i think this mower fits the bill perfectly, but if you have a lot of yard and not a lot of cords then don't go for this mower, because i ESPECIALLY got a long extension cord before buying this mower because i knew it would run out of cord before it went 5 feet of the plug outlet.

As for an electric lawn mower, the Black and Decker 18’ is perfect for the small flat yard of our current home. I paid about $140 for this Black & Decker, a pretty reasonable price for the job I expected from an electric mower.
Our yard mostly consists of patios, gardens, walkways, and a few sheds. The lawn part is the front yard and a small patch in the back for sitting on. It was a tossup between a small electric motored lawn mower and a manual push behind lawn mower. Because the price for each of these two types of lawn mower is very reasonable, almost the price of a small gas powered mower, I decided to buy both. I decided that I would use the manual mower when I had a lot of time to cut grass and the electric mower for quick mowing jobs.
It turns out that I ended up using the electric mower exclusively for the front yard due to electrical cord application. For the size of my front yard, I need a 50’ electric cord to power up the Black & Decker lawn mower. Using an electric lawn mower requires a pattern to avoid running over the electric cord while cutting your grass. The cord can also get in your feet if you turn the wrong direction of it or spin on the spot. Regardless, a technique like holding the cord in your right hand to handle it, is required. A small price to pay for getting away from the noisy and less environmentally friendly gasoline lawn mower.
