Sharp AF-S120FX: A Powerful and Full of Features Window AC (Report Review)

Sharp is probably one of the best brands for home appliances. One who will buy a Sharp AC unit will never regret. There are a lot of features on every unit that Sharp designs. For instance, the Sharp AF-S120FX 12200 BTU Thru-Wall/Window Air Conditioner is a very powerful air conditioning unit. The cooling power may not be expected from such a small AC unit. Plus, the Sharp AF-S120FX has several special features such as the 12 hour timer.

One of the advantages of Sharp AF-S120FX is its size and type. It is a thru-wall or window air conditioning unit so it is convenient for a little space that needs cooling. It is only 18.9 inches wide and 14.4 inches long. It is very compact so it will take a very little space on your wall. Despite its small size that can be a great choice for small and even for big residential buildings, I was surprised to witness the cooling ability of the Sharp AF-S120FX. It is definitely one of the most powerful AC unit, which I did not expect considering its size.
Another advantage of Sharp AF-S120FX is its energy efficiency. While air conditioning units can add up on your electric cost, the Sharp AF-S120FX is a good choice for it does not cost much. It is also has a good Energy Star rating. It definitely passes the federal standards so you can be a good candidate for rebates or tax credits.
The Sharp AF-S120FX also has some features which I did not find in other AC units. Some of them are the remote control, 12 hour timer and four air directions. |

Unfortunately, the Sharp AF-S120FX is still not a perfect one. Its highest fan speed can be noisy when not cleaned regularly. You will need to exert more effort on maintenance but this will surely be paid off by the features of the unit. |

PROS: Cools air very fast even on really hot day, very powerful; inexpensive: I’m very happy with the purchase , best buy for the money
