I think that the Maxi-Matic ESB-301F Elite Cuisine Single Cast Burner 1000-Watt Hot Plate, White is a pretty decent overall product for those who are in a pinch and do not have access to a stove nearby. That said, I think that there are many things that can be cooked more easily in a microwave. It is often much easier and more convenient to just cook in a microwave than have to deal with the hassle of the Maxi-Matic ESB-301F Elite Cuisine Single Cast Burner 1000-Watt Hot Plate, White. I would, therefore, only really suggest the Maxi-Matic ESB-301F Elite Cuisine Single Cast Burner 1000-Watt Hot Plate, White for those who don't have a microwave. For instnace, for college students who are living on a budget or in a dormitory room. The Maxi-Matic ESB-301F Elite Cuisine Single Cast Burner 1000-Watt Hot Plate, White is great for those that need to be able to heat up a tea ketltle to make coffe of tea.
