I think the Singer Scissors is a pretty decent product overall. The blades are made of stainless steel, which reflects the high level of craftsmanship that wen into this pair of scissors. I have found that the Singer Scissors are pretty sturdy and durable, but they are not the strongest scissors that I have ever encountered. I would say that the Singer Scissors are good for light to medium cutting, but I probably would not recommend them for heavy duty cutting. For instance, the Singer Scissors work great on paper, card-stock, and thinner pieces of cardboard. Depending on the thickness of your cardboard, however, the Singer Scissors might have trouble cutting through the cardboard with hacking it to bits. I have found that it is nearly impossible to cut in a straight line sometimes when I am dealing with thicker cardboard. Overall, however, I would still say that the Singer Scissors is a quality product -- just be sure to treat it with care and not to use it for heavier duty projects and such.
